While my work is considered essential, it’s an adjustment not being able to freely go to stores, out for drinks, or out in general. I was able to take a week off work to quarantine with my boyfriend on the outskirts of town. Now being back at work, I have been able to stay busy after, without going out.
Having a horse at home has been great for the quarantine. Not having to go to the arena and potentially exposing people, rather just walking out the back door to the pasture has been a treat! He takes a good chunk of my time during my week off an while working.
Cleaning is calming and makes me feel more put together when the house looks nice. Though being in the right mood is a must, keeping the house in order is a must for my mental health. This has been a good way to kill some time and stay healthy. I don’t know what I would do without my Thieves cleaning supplies, especially right now!
While I work on art constantly, its been necessary recently. Working on photography, rings, and macrame to stay busy has been great. It keeps my mind and hands busy. I work on rings in the shop, which feels like being outside with how many windows and clear skylights it has. Even in bad weather, the natural light is amazing. This helps me feel like I’m getting out of the house.
I’m making sure to get Wednesday, my dog outside more and play with her. I also have her outside with me while I work with Dante. Since she’s cooped up indoors alone most of the time while I’m at work, I’ve been making sure she gets plenty of attention/outdoor time/cuddle time when I’m home.
