Day 7: Oil on your wishlist
I’ve been taking CortiStop for a month now, you take 2 capsules in the morning before breakfast. Use daily for 8 weeks. Discontinue use for 2-4 weeks before once more resuming.
I’ve had high stress due to life and moderate stress at work, and felt like my body needed help. Since starting this supplement again, I’ve been less wigged out, take things in stride better, and can remain calm easier when stress arises.
CortiStop is a proprietary dietary supplement designed to help the body maintain its natural balance and harmony. When under stress, the body produces cortisol. When cortisol is produced too frequently, it can have negative health consequences such as feelings of fatigue, difficulty maintaining a healthy weight, and difficulty maintaining optimal health of cardiovascular systems. It supports the glandular systems of women, containing powerful precursor hormones pregnenolone, and DHEA derived from wild yams. It supports emotional fluctuations and helps improve memory and cognitive function. Designed to help control and regulate healthy cortisol production during times of additional stress.
• Pregnenolone has been shown to reduce corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) in experimental models. CRH is the first step in the production of the stress hormone cortisol.
• DHEA provides the body with DHEA, which may be reduced as a consequence of stress.
• Phosphatidylcholine may protect the brain, liver, and stomach during times of stress.
• Phosphatidylserine helps balance the HPA axis and may stunt cortisol production. The effects may be more pronounced in people under chronic stress.
• Black cohosh helps stop stress responses and may elevate mood.
• Clary sage and frankincense both have uplifting energy.
• Fennel and peppermint can help soothe the stomach.

Dante came from a herd, and has remnants of scrapes from being at the bottom of the pecking order. He also has very short hair at the top of his tail, from what looks like itching. So I made a spray to support healthy hair and skin! I eyeballed all the ingredients so exact measurements aren’t included.
16 oz glass spray bottle
Apple Cider Vinegar – I added about 1/4 of the bottle
Jojoba oil – 1 squeeze
Castor oil – 1 squeeze
Distilled water – Filled the rest of the bottle
Rosemary essential oil – 10 drops
Cedarwood essential oil – 10 drops
Lavender essential oil – 10 drops
(*note, I only use Young Living essential oils, around me and my pets*)
Sensation Essential Oil Blend
Woah BABY, if this is not part of your regular “bed time” routine 😉 you’re missing out. Ylang Ylang, Jasmine and other essential oils make it smell fantastic and truly help to get you in the mood. Diffuse it or apply it topically anywhere you please.
Goldenrod Essential Oil:
Bow-chicka-bow-wow. Add to a carrier and get to massaging! 🌟 Help things stand to attention!
Winter is such a hard time of year to stay healthy. Especially if you work around people or kids. Here are some of my favorite ways to boost my immune system (year round, but especially in the winter)
This is a powerful, whole-body liquid supplement. This sweet and tangy drink’s formula includes wolfberry, which has loads of health benefits. Also featuring plum, aronia, cherry, blueberry, and pomegranate juices and extracts, packed with superfoods to support overall wellness. Such a good antioxidant drink. I take 1 oz a day when I buy the 2 pack of bottles, 1 bottle this way lasts me a whole month.
These chewable tablets contain: Orange essential oil with a proprietary blend of camu camu, acerola, cherry, and rose hips fruit powder. This is a powerful immune-supporting supplement. Together, these premium ingredients deliver desirable polyphenols, carotenoids, and optimal amounts of vitamin C. I got a bottle of this in my Essential Rewards box a few months ago. I’m trying to make them last, and am only taking one tablet 1 or 2 times a week.
The Young Living Thieves blend is a great immune system booster! I use the dish soap, wipes, hand sanitizer, hand soap, all purpose cleaner, and laundry soap. You can also diffuse the oil blend in your cold water diffuser!
If you can afford to get this gem….do! I try to get one box every 3 months. I take 1 packet of vitamins 2-3 times a week. I feel great even when taking it only 2-3 times a week. Each box has 30 packets, this way I make it last and am not spending $82 (wholesale) a month on this product, though 1 packet a day is recommended on the packaging. This product is a full spectrum, multinutrient complex, providing premium vitamins, minerals, and food-based nutriment to support general health and well-being.
One of my favorite ways to help my body, while making the room smell amazing! Some of my favorite blends are:
3 drops Thieves + 2 drops Lemon
3 drops Thieves + 1 drop Frankincense
2 drops Frankincense + 2 drops Lemon
3 drops Purification + 1 drop Peppermint
5 drops Thieves by itself is amazing 🙂
I do diffuse around my pets, and have for 5, almost 6 years. Yes I have seen all the claims out there on the internet, more often than not, these claims are from people using low quality and synthetic essential oils. I have done plenty of research on my own, and choose to safely diffuse *only Young Living essential oils around them*. Biggest thing, diffuse in open rooms, so that pets can leave the room if they dislike what is being diffused. I diffuse very little compared to how much water goes in my diffusers. I have not had any issues, more commonly my dog sits as close to the diffuser as she can. The best resources I can recommend if you are wanting to learn more about animals and essential oils are “The Animal Desk Reference II: Essential Oils for Animals” by Melissa Shelton DVM and “Essential Oils Animal Desk Reference” by Life Science Publishing, both available on Amazon!
One of the Young Living pages on Facebook posted this awesome recipe!
Elderberry has been used historically for health benefits and culinary purposes. These berries contain several antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that have made the berries an ideal choice for immune support! Several studies have even found that elderberries help reduce cold-like symptoms.
*To enjoy the benefits, make sure to try incorporating elderberry syrup as raw elderberries can cause negative effects including nausea and abdominal cramps.
Elderberry Syrup DIY
Try making this elderberry syrup at home! The infusion of vitality essential oils will provide even more powerful benefits. This will make a large batch to fill a 16oz mason jar.
Add the elderberries and water to a large saucepan. Bring to boil. Once boiling, turn down the heat and allow the berries to simmer for about an hour (the goal is to have the amount of liquid in the pan half in size, this can take 60+ minutes). Add your choice of herbs. Once liquid has halved in sized, remove from heat and let cool. Separate the berries into a strainer and mash them while collecting the juice. You can do this with a spoon or a spatula, but the key is to catch the elderberry juice that comes from the berry. Once mashed, discard remaining berries. Let the liquid cool and gently stir in the honey and essential oils. Keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
1 tsp daily for children
1 tbsp daily for adults

Charcoal bar soap- pulls out dirt and impurities without stripping the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Orange Blossom facial wash – hypoallergenic, gentle face wash for oily skin and leaves behind no pore-clogging residue. reduces surface oils and removes dirt and makeup without making your skin feel overly dry or tight.
Orange Blossom moisturizer – maintain optimal moisture balance, controls excess oil and shine, and preps your face for makeup with its natural-looking matte finish. This moisturizer, for oily complexions (oily complexion or not, this works great!) improves the appearance of skin without irritation from harsh chemicals. Naturally derived, plant-based ingredients and vegan-friendly.
Acne Treatment – this is easily my favorite product for my face! My bottle has lasted over a year, due to not needing to use much at a time. This product really goes quite far. The maximum-strength salicylic acid is naturally derived from Wintergreen. It helps clear acne blemishes, pimples, and blackheads. Other ingredients, Tea Tree essential oil helps cleanse your skin, while Manuka oil reduces the appearance of blemishes.

I finally made it to where I can keep plants alive! I’ve had a black thumb for my own plants forever, but I’ve successfully kept 3 plants alive since January, and 2 succulent terrariums for a couple months now! I did a lot of research for my terrarium class, and found a lot of people lose succulents to pests and sickness. Well, this is the mist I use to keep the plants healthy and pest free!
Indoor plants can sometimes attract or harbor insects. This 2-in-1 essential oil infused Terrarium Mist not only provides your plants with needed moisture, it works naturally and effectively to keep pests at bay as well.
2 drops Young Living Tea Tree essential oil
2 drops Young Living Lavender essential oil
2 oz filtered water
Add to 2oz spray bottle and shake well. Spritz
succulents and surrounding soil as needed.
Most laundry detergents are full of toxic fragrances and harsh chemicals. The EWG has a database you can see ratings of ingredients in the products you use, ( look here! ) 60% of the products scored a D and F for clean ingredients.
I hear all the time how living cleaner is more expensive, and it can be. A great thing I do is dilute the laundry soap I buy from Young Living, I get 3 bottles out of 1. It ends up only costing around 15 cents a load and is chemical free! You only need 1/2 capful at most!
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 – 32oz Bottles – I use old YL detergent bottles
Thieves Laundry Soap
Thieves House Hold Cleaner
Essential Oil of your choice (Citrus Fresh, and Purification are amazing!)
Warm Filtered Water
First, evenly divide the laundry soap into 3 containers. Then add two capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner to each bottle. Next add 10- 15 drops of essential oil to each bottle. Slowly fill with warm filtered water and shake.
Easy, quick and cost effective.
You know when you buy shampoo, lotion, perfume or most products you apply on your body, the label says Fragrance on the ingredient list. Fragrance is a known respiratory irritant and neurological toxin and one in five people in the US experience adverse health effects from synthetic fragrance exposure. (read more here) How scary is that? Fragrance is known to disrupt your endocrine system, the same system in charge of producing hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood and more. Who wants to throw those off balance? Not me!
Now that you see some of the importance of staying away from the synthetic fragrances in body products, dryer sheets, soaps..etc. Let me show you how you can make your own perfume. One step closer to ditching those chemicals and filling your home with products that will support your body not disrupt it.
To make the perfume you’ll need:
Add in oils of your choice to your bottle, and fill with vodka (can substitute witch hazel). Voila! Easy, good for your body, and smells amazing!
How To Host Your Own Class
Royal Crown Diamond Melissa Poepping wrote a DIY perfume book (get it here). While a lot use Rose in the ingredients, I chose 2 that did not. There were quite a few oils I did not have, but I had been saving up Essential Rewards points, and used those to get the more expensive oils for my class.
Before the class I made 2 tester bottles of the perfumes my guests would choose from. Oils react differently with everyone’s body, so it was good for everyone to try them before choosing. I used my Cricut to make gold and a silver label for the perfume bottles, this was a big hit. It made the finished product look so pretty! We made Eau De Parfume: City Lights and Escape at the class I hosted.
For the class you’re going to need
The recipes can be made as 10ml, 1oz, or 2oz. The amount of oils you use is the same for each one but the amount of vodka and water you use differs and it obviously makes a different concentration (that’s all explained in the book). You can decide if you want to offer rollers or spray bottles that are 10ml, 1oz, 2oz, or a variety of all sizes for your classes. I just did 2oz bottles for my class.
During the class I taught about how many chemicals a woman applies in a day and touched on the dangers of fragrance in products. I had the ladies smell and test both perfumes. Then we got into making them! Everyone had a great time!
We woke up to an inch of snow Sunday, but Monday it felt like spring! Chilly…but sunny, fresh and no clouds to be seen. With spring comes pollen and flowers. Who likes to enjoy the outdoors? I know I do! 2nd hike of the season is coming up today and while I haven’t had any issues yet, I like to be prepared.
This combo of oils is a lifesaver this time of year. I like to use it in a roller but you can also diffuse around the house (diffusing I use 2 drops each).
Then, you need your oils. I use 5 drops each of lemon, lavender and peppermint in a 5ml bottle.
Last, you need a carrier oil. Sweet almond is my go to, amazon has the best price for a bottle! Fill the bottle the rest of the way with your carrier and roll away!
*Lemon essential oil is photosensitive. So use caution when applying before going out into the sun. I apply to the bottom of my feet or on an area that will be covered by clothing. Photosensitive oils can cause burning or darkened spots on your skin after exposure to uv rays.*
